The HYGRASREG® TW dew point monitor is installed on cooling/cold water pipes or on cool surfaces. It reliably detects dew with its humidity and temperature sensor (no conductivity measurement) and provides an exact measurement result thanks to its patented measuring method, prodynamic transverse convection (patent no. DE 10 2012 015 726.6), optionally with/without display. The dew point is the temperature at which the air reaches saturation and water begins to condense. Thanks to the continuous measuring range of 0...100 % r.H. for the TW-U and the adjustable limit value of 75...100 % for the TW-W, chilled ceilings, for example, can be operated in such a way that the switching output (DDC) of the dew point monitor is activated before condensation forms on the pipes or chilled ceilings or the object to be monitored, in order to switch on the heating or other actuators, for example, and thus prevent condensation.
